Corn Painting

I had bought some husked corn a few days ago, then cooked it at dinner, but I had accidentally left one wayyy back in the fridge. I found it today after cleaning out the fridge and not wanting to just cook one corn cob or throw it away, I decided to let L paint with it! He loved it!

I left the husk on first and let him paint with the corn "hair"

Then I shucked the corn and let him roll it in yellow paint. See the yellow paint on his mouth? Yep, he tried to eat the corn! haha

  1. I like that you let him explore both the husk and the corn itself. I used to do corn painting at Thanksgiving time with my preschool kids except we used Indian Corn. But I think this is a good way to let them check out the vegetables we are promoting. Thank you for sharing this idea too on It's Playtime
